Kickoff module Dairy Technology

On 26th of January the module Dairy Technology, part of the minor Dairy Technology, has started with 31 students for the second year! (last year: 16 students)

There are participants from Brazil, Spain, Thailand and the Netherlands of course. The mix of students is completed by students from chemical technology,  from a farmhouse,  from a dairy plant and even a student who produces cheese, milk and yoghurt in an own small scale plant.

The minor exists of the modules: Fermented Products, Dairy Technology 1, Dairy Technology 2 and Dairy Health & Safety. In the minor we invite all students to raise their level by studying readers and books and the dairy situation in different countries. On top of that they do assignments in the pilot plant and laboratory, looking for information via company contact, making calculations about the process or study a topic in literature and present these in the class.

In April and in June the minors Dairy Technology end by a final oral assessment of the dairy module.
