EQ Beat app

EQ Beat was founded in 2023 with the aim of creating an app which will aid riders in their rhytmic training and, thus increase horse welfare. The app is suitable for every level of horse riding as well as every discipline. The company was created by Valeria Vrabii, Nathalie Veldhuis, Anna Ulmaskulova, and Defne Erelçin and operates as a limited liability company.

Our vision is to improve the performance and welfare of equine athletes and provide the most efficient tool for rhythmic work.

Mission

Through developing an app, EQ Beat aims to assist riders in improving consistency in rhythm of horses in all disciplines and levels. This is done with the help of a tool specific to the music industry: metronome.

Product description

EQ Beat is an app with a metronome enabling users to control their horse's rhythm by adjusting to the ‘beats per minute’ of a metronome. The app has a database that is updated by the rider for certain gaits per horse. Furthermore, the app will play a customizable sound at a given interval and the rider can switch rhythms via voice control.

The team of EQ Beat consists of four ‘Equine, Sports and Business’ students of the University Van Hall Larenstein.

Valeria Vrabii

Valeria is the CEO of EQ Beat. Valeria combined her passion of horse riding with her passion for music to create EQ Beat.

Defne Erelçin

Defne is responsible for the marketing activities. Furthermore, Defne is also the contact point for customers.

Anna Ulmaskulova

Anna is responsible for quality assurance and works together with the app-developers to prevent bugs.

Nathalie Veldhuis

Nathalie is head of finance and thus allocates the budget of EQ Beat and reports spending and needs.
